Shared reading is a collaborate learning activity which involves the whole class and the teacher reading an enlarged text that is beyond the level students can read by themselves. This allows students to be actively engaged while the teacher is reading. Why is it important for children to read?
Books are a rich source of information for children. Through reading, they are exposed to a wide range of new vocabulary while learning how to correctly use them. It will also improve their ability to comprehend written material while developing their deep analytical skills.
