What is this strategy about?
When a pupil gets the right answer, that shouldn’t be the end. The learning process needs to continue - reward correct answers with harder questions.
Why is it important to stretch right answers?
Asking students more questions about their answers allows them to think more deeply about their answer. This will reinforce learning and also allow you to assess the depth of their knowledge on the topic.
Why is it important for students to be challenged?
Challenges are important to help children develop a growth mindset. It encourages development and prompts children to push themselves in order to reach their full academic potential.
