    About the Strategy Source
    Twinkl Move is a planning and assessment scheme that focuses on high-quality sports education and supports teachers to plan and deliver outstanding PE lessons to encourage students to develop healthy and active lifestyles.

    What is this Strategy About?
    The UK Chief Medical Officer guidelines were updated in 2019 and recommends that all 5–18-year-olds should engage in physical activity for 60 minutes a day. This strategy will help you increase physical activity in your classroom and develop your class’ aerobic skills alongside their focus, concentration and engagement.

    What is Aerobic Exercise?
    Aerobic exercise is a type of cardiovascular exercise that strengthens the heart and lungs and improves muscle function. Aerobic exercise increases your breathing and heart rate and includes activities such as swimming, running, cycling and brisk walking.
