Education Endowment Foundation
About the Strategy Source
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent charity established in 2011. The charity is dedicated to improving the educational attainment of the poorest pupils in English schools.
What is this strategy about?
Prioritise the teaching of language, as language is the foundation of thinking and learning. This will not only help with communication and language but also self-regulation, socio-emotional development and reasoning.
Why are language and communication skills important?
It is important to nurture children's language and communication skills so that they can articulate themselves effectively. It also helps to facilitate the process of sharing knowledge and information.
