What is this strategy about?
Good feedback is essential because it closes the gap between current and desired performance.
What is constructive feedback?
Constructive feedback enhances learning and provides students with supportive guidance on how they can improve their work. You should highlight strengths and areas in which the student is achieving to motivate them, but also point out areas that they need to work on and how they can do this.
Why is student-teacher feedback important?
Through feedback, teachers can provide students with suggestions for development and correct any errors. It also guides teachers to adapt teaching to suit their students' learning needs.

Choose this strategy if you want to...
- Ensure pupils know exactly how to improve
- Provide purpose to feedback, not just as an add-on to your day
- Save time in the future as good feedback means you shouldn’t have to comment on that feedback again
